Many multiplex technologies require splitting samples across different wells and detecting single targets in each well. While such parallel miRNA detection allows the analysis of multiple targets, many potential benefits of multiplexing are not fulfilled.

Firefly  assay can simultaneously measure up to 68 miRNAs in every well. This approach to multiplexing allows  to save time and sample.
